Me & my wife got married before she left. I know same sex marriage is still new but I'm already listed as a depenendant. She's going for ABH. Anyone have any idea when we get our first letter, how long A school may be & with everyone's experience after A school- how long until you moved? She just went into boot camp in Great Lakes Tuesday. Also any advice on how to stop being so depressed?? It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do but I know I better get used to being alone a lot.

Hey my girlfriend has been gone for 2 weeks now. And from the day she left I wrote her everyday. I got her PIR letter this week and a phone call last Saturday. Still waiting in the first real letter. When I talk to her she said she has been writing every night but can't mail yet because no mail PO YET. It is very hard especially in the beginning. But if you need to talk about anything at all feel free to contact me.
Oh my gosh thank you. Feels so much better to be able to talk to someone. Did it get a little easier as time went on? It's day 4 & I've barely slept. I'm just losing my mind.
You will have your good days and your bad days. It starts with more bad days because you initially miss her so much. My girlfriend and I were that 25/8 couple. So not gearing anything is the worst. But once you get to hear her voice. Receive her clothes. It will be more comforting. And definitely talk. Especially to MilSO because we understand you the most
Yes I agree. We were the same way. We've lived together for over 2 years & we've been together 3. In that time we've maybe been apart 5-10 days so it's killing me. I feel so empty and depressed but I'm SO happy for her at the same time it kills me. God I can't wait for a phone call or letter. I'm gonna start writing tonight.
Yeah writing is like therapy I swear. I miss her so much But I'm so proud of her and I know she is finally gets to what she's been dreaming of. Do you know what her rate is?
My wife is an E3. & she's going for aviation. What about your gf?
She's starting out fresh she might be e-3 by the time she finishes boot camp . But her rate also aviation. Aviation ordnance. That means you wife will be in Pensacola for a-school
Yeah she will. That's awesome they're going for the same thing somewhat. She's doing aviation air traffic controlling.
Well feel free to message me anytime. This is definitely not fun to do alone
Thank you so much I really appreciate it. How are you doing? Have yall thought about getting married so you can go with her?? When she moves.
Yes we are definitely getting married. I think she's gonna propose after a-school. She wants to get a certain ring. I told her I just want her. Then once we find out where she will be stationed I'm moving out there to set up house. But she only wants a 6 month or less engagement.
That's awesome! Congrats love.
