Sue, my son is on the ship and I have been stashing cases to send to them. I have 95 that are for guys and 8 that are gals. Do you want me to send them? If so, when is the mailing date?

Hi Nancy,

WOW!  Actually, I am the last mailer and planned to mail 33 tomorrow.  Then the ship is done.  I"m going to friend you and give you my personal email address.

Ma'am
I just wanted to let you know that we have received all the pillow cases
we will be passing them out next week. Thank you again it is an amazing
thing you all are doing. We will make sure to send you pictures and
thank you cards. Also do you have a facebook site or web site?

AND fyi:  there is a HAE site on FB.  It was made private by someone who has passed away and I recently made it public again.  check it out.

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for the wonderful pillow cases your organization made for the crew of MICHAEL MURPHY. It’s nice to know there are people out there, other than our families, who care. My pillow case was made by Marcia B. Thank you Marcia. Blue is my favorite color. To tell you a little about myself: My name is Karl , I have a wife back home. I have a daughter who attends an Art Institute.  In March I will pass my 22nd year in the Navy. My navy rating is Gas Turbine Systems Technician and my rank is Senior Chief (E-8). My title/job on the ship is Top Snipe. I am the senior Enlisted Engineer onboard. Once again, thank you for what you do. I must go now and assume the watch over the engineering power plant.

Sandy is the reason that we mailed to the USS Michael Murphy as she has a family friend onboard the ship:

Greetings Heads at ease,

I would like to start this off introducing myself. I am 26 year old female in the world greatest Navy. I have been in for a few years now and currently on my first deployment. Let me be the first to tell you its not always smooth sailing out here. When we receive care packages from home its like Christmas for the ship. The little things mean the world to us out here. Receiving our pillow cases was the missing factor. You would be amazed how something so small can make us feel human again. I wanted to take the time to say thank you so much for all of your beautiful hard work. You have made a lot of military personnel happy. I would personally like to thank Sandy B for my new pillow case. Its beautiful and you have my word its in good hands now. Once again thank you all for what you are doing.

Very Respectively

Ms. Robin Y,

Good morning and Happy Valentine’s Day.

I wish to thank you and your team for the outstanding pillow cases you took the time to make, and I wish to convey to you especially my appreciation for the fine fabric pattern (bottles of beer).

But in all seriousness; everyone here on the USS Michael Murphy were absolutely delighted when the bag of pillow cases was passed around. Sure helped us during this deployment, and brought some needed color to our berthing.

Again, thank you for your kindness and thoughts.

 Very respectfully,

PR1 David   Air Department Life Support

USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112)

Marcia B,

I wanted to personally thank you for the pillowcase. It was wonderful to
receive something so useful and unique. It is appreciated and happily in
use.

Very Respectfully,  Ronald  Rxxxxxx, ET1(SW)

The Air Force unit was split between 3 address.  The 1st one:

Sue and Heads at Ease,

Hello from Ali Al Salem Air Base Kuwait!  Thank you so much for the
pillowcases.  It was a great feeling to know that folks back home are
thinking about us and care enough to send something made with love.  Your
letter and the three boxes of awesome pillowcase put a smile on many faces
throughout our Squadron.  I had the opportunity to deliver the gifts and
explain the story behind them.  It was fun to see the Airmen choose what
pillow cases "spoke" to them.  I am going on 25 years of active duty service
with 7 LONG deployments under my belt and have never had such a heartfelt
gift.  Thank you again and take care.

Sincerely Ryan SMSgt, USAF

from Janie

from Sue

from Brenda and the Polka Dottie Quilters

and I mailed to the other 2 addresses:

I got all 5 in the flat rate envelope!  and I actually made the one with the cupcakes on it.

Ms. Sue Lamberson,

Just wanted to let you know that I received your package of beautiful pillow  cases!  We have plenty of Airmen that are in need

of linens and these couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time.  They definitely are a reminder of home that has breathed new

life into our expected return in a  few months.  Thank you so much from all of us here at the 407 Logistics  Readiness Flight!
I took the cupcake one.  Thanks so much!
Very Respectfully,   Capt Rachael xxxx

Hi,
Her group received the 11 above:
Hi,
I just wanted to send you a huge thank you!! :) I love my pillow case, and I know all of my Airmen loved theirs as well! I really am so grateful for the love you have shared with me, and my crew.
I really appreciate the love and support!

Sincerely,
Roz

from Ryan, our POC for the AF.  I think it's so cool when they choose that reminds them of their children:

Sue,

I chose a robot pattered pillow case because it made me think of my son Quinn.

Thank you ladies for the wonderful pillowcases, they were very thoughtful
gifts!  Everyone loved the patterns and look forward to using them.

Again, thank you for thinking of us!

V/R,
ELIZABETH K. G TSgt, USAF
