My oldest will leave out of NOLA on March 25th, right around the corner! We live in Baton Rouge :)

My youngest is leaving March 25th out of SC - it is happening faster than planned.  Originally given a ship date in September, however he requested an earlier ship date and yes what?  - He got it.  We just found out last week he was leaving on the 25th. Less than 2 weeks notice for his good ole mom.  He so ready to go and I am exited for him. He will be the first family member to join the military.  All this is very new to me. I see I have a lot to learn about being a Navy mom.

My youngest leaves on the 25th, too, out of Seattle, WA. He's following in the footsteps of his grandfather (my dad), and this is pretty exciting for all of us. What a roller coaster of emotions! But we have each other on here, and for that, I'm grateful.

My oldest son is also leaving for BootCamp on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 - from Buffalo, NY.  I'm very happy for him.  :)

Hello Ladies!  I do agree with Tony's Ma, we need to support each other.  It's a new adventure for them, it is another for us!  I have been praying for them too.  Only a few days now...Keep in touch!  :)

I just received my son's call tonight.  He arrived safely.  I will receive his belongings in a few weeks with the address where he'll be able to receive mail.  In the meantime, praying for him and all the shipmates at Boot Camp. Keep in touch ladies! :)

Just a few more days! I'm very excited for my SL. He's going to be cold going to Chicago from AZ!
My oldest child is also leaving the 25th from NOLA. We're from Baton Rouge as well. We met her tonight at the hotel and took her out for supper.

tb2dari, I think we saw your daughter in the front row during the final swear in! She was the only girl. Our son was on the back row and the tallest of them.

Hope you are doing well!!

Just got the last text from my boyfriend before he got on the bus from the airport to RTC! I'm going to miss him like crazy but I'm so so proud :)

My youngest arrived in BC yesterday on the 25th.  Did you get the call last night?  I thought I would be relieved but I am still worried.  Sure do miss my youngest and he was the last one to leave the nest!

I got a 40-second call around 10:40 EDT. He sounded a little flustered but excited. I was expecting him to call his parents, not me, so it was really great to hear his voice. I'm so proud!!

I'm hoping these 9 weeks go by fast because I am sooo restless/distracted right now. Hugs and prayers all around!

We got the call too. In a way it was relieving knowing I couldn't text him any longer. I kept thinking I needed to say something profound, or really funny, even though I knew we had already said and done everything possible.
