Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 810

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

My son's girlfriend received a letter today (I did not receive one, ggrrr). All is well (sorta). He is not very happy that they do not do enough push-ups (exercise). He was very worried when he went to boot-camp he might come out in worse shape than when he went in... LOL!! I am sure the next part of training will make him wish he was back in boot-camp. I am looking forward to hearing from him. I miss just being able to say hello to him at my leisure.. Oh well, I will keep writing!!

I can not for the life of me find the FB page.. Has anyone seen any pics of our children??

GRRRR on the letter to you! I am shocked about the exercise.  I thought they had one more PT than other DIV's.  I will find the FB link when I get home if you haven't gotten it yet.  Dumb work computer blocks me from it.  I did find my son (the side of his head) in like 5 pics that were posted 3/17 on RTC page.  But looking at the comments people said that was during Pdays.  He got to GL 3/11, FYI.  So maybe check those pics out (ones in yellow shirts).

Good morning B,

I still have not found the FB page.. I am going to look again at the RTC page and see if I can spot my son somewhere. When you get a chance I will love to have fb page address..

They do have an extra PT, but I guess it isn't enough?? I wish I had that problem!!!!! E

jaybird, try searching u.s. navy recruit training command.

jaybird, my son also had the same concern, getting out of shape in boot camp.  From his letter, if your son is in shape, this is a piece of cake for him I bet.  My son was working out everyday three times a day usually.

Happy Saturday!! Yes, my guy went into BC extremely fit. He was fit before deciding to join the Navy. Once he joined and received his AIRR contract he kicked it up and really began to focus on what he will do in Swim School. He received his contract  in July or Aug and has been seriously training since then. Since 800s can't do push-ups etc outside of regular BC training I am sure he is miserable.. Overall I guess he is doing well and has some leadership roles? This is coming from his dad - I have not received a letter yet..

I find it funny that in the 800 division their punishment is to take their work outs away, at least what the recruiter said.  LOL!  My son did write that they had to do 400 burpees for some of the guys being late :)

Hi Ladies,

I received a letter from my son today!  Hopefully everyone else will hear soon from their son.  He says boot camp is not that bad, is a bit home sick and feeling a little under the weather from all the shots that they had to get.

As far as flights go, I think we got a pretty good deal, even a straight through flight.  We also are staying at the navy lodge.  Reviews seem good and the pics look clean. We get in early Thursday.  It will be nice to meet everyone.

It's encouraging to hear letters are being received. Still waiting to hear from my SR. We anxiously check the mailbox and walk around with our cell phones.

I love hearing what your SR has to say about BC. We have bets going to find out if our SR was one that caused the extra burpees mentioned above. Of I seriously hope not!!

I hate being attached to my cell, but really don't want to miss that call.

From his letter, it sounds like they have hopefully made some good friends already.  Would not be shocked if my son had issues getting out of bed and was one to help out with those extra burpees...LOL!!!

LOL.. I am sure my son did not mind the burpees-- that is funny!

I believe this is the FB page info

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1538851103044956/

this is a fb page for PIR date 5//1/15

That is not the one I found, but that page appears to be a much better one.

Those adrenaline junkies will purposely being screwing up if they are getting extra workouts.
