RIP Not Da Mama, peace for his family.

Hi all - I have sad news to share - I received a message from Mrs. NDM that Not Da Mama passed away on 1/25.  Some of you may remember that he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer/lymphoma last summer.  Fortunately their sailor was able to come home for 28 days in Nov/Dec and she said they were able to fulfill many of his last wishes.  She also said how much the N4M community meant to him.  I know I will truly miss him - he had such a wonderful way with words and could sure tell stories!  I hope you all will take a minute to remember him and to say a prayer for Mrs NDM and their 2 daughters and son.

Was very busy this last days, which I really welcomed because this waiting is hard. No word yet on a day for my son to reboard. I know he couldn't board again until after 5 days and he had to board only the two sections he missed. So that was last Saturday, I'm assuming he will board again early next week. God willing he will make it this time.
Thank you so much for the good wishes!

Tally Mom I don't get much of a chance to post either but enjoy reading them. Please do tell what is the dash for cash. My son is in MM school also 1512A and they have graduation on 4/3/15. He doesn't share too much.

TallyMom, that is just the kind of thing we love to hear! Well done both of you!

I really enjoy reading all the comments on here, I just think I have anything to contribute yet. Thanks everyone for sharing - the ups and the downs. I really feel like part of the Navy family. My son is in A School (MM). He seems to be doing very well. I found out last week that he passed his dash for cash and today he texted that he scored a 3.9 on his ME3 test! Happy Friday everyone!

Anyone heard from BoyWonderMom her son was retaking his oral boards at prototype.  I hope he passed it this time.

J's/S'smom - I hope they get their run in early before it heats up....will definitely say a prayer for your Marine son to have wings on his feet!

kjzmsmom - which school is your son graduating from?  I think the only one that does a video is boot camp.  A school, PS & prototype would just be if perhaps a parent did a video & could share with you.  Sorry you couldn't be there, but BZ to your son!

Lilo54 - have a wonderful visit with your sailor - be safe ;-)  I'm sure he will be very happy to have his wheels!

Looking forward to seeing my Sailor this weekend.  We are headed down to meet half way (he is taking the train). We are bringing him his car and he is very happy about it!   Stopping in Richmond to see our daughter on the way!  Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Comment by kjzmsmom on March 27, 2015 at 12:05pm

My son is graduating today - but we cannot attend.  Does anyone know if there is a video of graduation available online or elsewhere?  Thanks!
