Good Morning to Everyone.

While the weekend was really good. Christina and Aurora where fantastic. We went to the museum in Portland that even had hands on stuff for Aurora to play and learn with. It was really cool. Even went to a place called VooDoo Donuts. It is a doughnut store that has very interesting donuts. Other then that it really is only a doughnut store. Did a lot of walking so my knees are killing me today. The funeral was a funeral. It was outside though. Weather was really good for this time of year. It didn't rain until we got back into Washington. My daughter took us to a place called The Crab Shack. I love crab and it is a good place to go if you are just inside of Washington. It was in Vancouver over the boarder of Oregon. But you have to really be hungery. Lots of food for the price. Over all it was a good weekend. I will see if I can get some pictures.

Anna,

Yes, that 2 years of training is considered part of their active duty requirements.  Although I think if they want to rank up, they have to pull at least 2 sea duties.  Not sure on that. They are both E4s, part of the "nuke" package, if you pass "A" school.  They talk about the STAR Reenlistment.  It adds another 2 years to their term, for a very significant amount of money.  Like 6 figures.  O.o

Holding you to that visit!  Wouldn't want to come right now, though.  Cold and snowy!  I just hope we don't go from 45 degrees to 80 in the span of a week, and skip Spring all together!

Blondie, When my nose piece fell off I found one that fit at Walmart. Used it till I could get it fixed. Been about 5 years since my last pair. I need to get in and get new ones. Just so expensive. My ins. doesn't cover vision. Pray you get th fixed soon. Wish I could send you warmer weather. At this point I would welcome snow..96 yesterday.

Styliniroc, where is your girl stationed? Been hot here in southern Calif.

Yes Blondie, 4 more day..but who is counting? LOL Have a good weekend everyone.

Anna, such a beautiful drive. Stay safe, I know you will have fun!

Blondie, I am in PA. Hope you get your glasses fixed asap! WalMart should be able to take care of that, but if you have a Lens Crafters near you, they have a same day service, sometimes one hour.

Good morning moms! It is actually snowing here this am! My daughter is complaining of how hot it is where she is stationed, and misses snow. I wouldn't care if I never see another snow flake again! I'm off to the post office to send Easter care packages to my daughter, and her boyfriend. Have a great Saturday everyone!
