Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Blessed Sunday!

"Then the multitudes who went before and those

who followed cried out, saying 'Hosanna to the Son

of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name

of the Lord!' Hosanna in the highest!"

Good Morning!

This PIR group is at the end of their 5th week of training, some in the 6th week.  All will be in the 6th week by Tues.  Like CatMom said, very intensive training as they prepare for BattleStations (see discussion group above for more info).  Some of you will be getting a very wonderful I'm a Sailor call on Fri afternoon.  Others of you will have to wait until early next week for that sweet call, but it will be worth the wait!  This Saturday, your sailors/SRs will be participating in Captains Cup, a fun athletic competition between the divisions.

Gals,

Your SRs are in their intense training now.  They are earning flags to proudly carry in front of their divisions at PIR.  If they are doing really well, they "may" be given a reward call by their RDCs.  Their weekly letters will be their main contact with you right now.  Only a couple more weeks till you get Sailor Hugs!!

Hi Paige! I am right there with you. I haven't heard from my SR for 2 weeks.....well it will be 2 weeks on Monday. I guess I got so used to hearing from him weekly that it was a shock to my system, lol. I hope he is coping better than I am.
