Success! We have one happy sailor!  Got our sailor's car to Raleigh on Saturday (actually drove through a snow squall for 40 miles right outside of Richmond, VA)!  Dropped his car off at the hotel and then drove my car to Selma to meet his train on time!  Just loved the big smile he had for us when he got off the train!  Got to see his grandmother and then the moment of truth - we gave him the keys to his car and he had to take it for a spin.  He was thrilled that I had it detailed so it was nice and clean!  He enjoyed sleeping in a real bed at the hotel, a shower with hot water and had a nice breakfast Sunday morning before heading out to GC!  We are home now and he texted that arrived safely at GC. Our driveway looks so empty now and there is a finality of it all.  But, he said that he gets 10 days after A school graduation on 5/15 (class 1520A).  Then he goes on T-track for two months before Power School.  But, I just loved seeing him and he seems to be handling the stress of it all pretty well.  He has a goal and knows what he has to do to get it.   He wears maturity well (of course a few years ago,  I thought we would never see it LOL).

NCNavyMom63 - thanks for the offer about Selma.  Fortunately we didn't need to call.  We hung out in the train station and then had lunch at the Hula Girl restaurant which was lots of fun!  Even the train crew had ordered food from this place to meet the train!

So sorry to heard about NotDaMama. May he rest in peace.  He was truly a positive and uplifting presence in this group and he will be missed.  Heartfelt sympathy and prayers to his family.

NotDaMama's positive outlook on life should serve as an inspiration to us all. The world is richer for having him spend time in it. Sending sympathy and loving kindness to his family.

Wow.  A lot to catch up on.  We came back from GC on Tuesday and I went back to work on Wed so haven't had time to write.  Congrats to those who passed test/comps/orals.  Prayers for those with retakes.  May they each keep calm and think clearly during the retakes.

Here is a pic of my Sailor just before Power School graduation last week.  So proud of her!  I tried to post that day but couldn't do it from my phone.

I know he said he passed his last test on Friday for his MM  and he said he will have comps on Monday. He said his PFA was a run of 926, 108 sit ups and 80 something push ups. I finally got an answer that it was passing. He did not mention dash for cash or getting promoted to Petty Officer 3rd Class. I generally get one word. Like pray. I send back for what school or health and get another one word. So he definitely keeps me guessing.  So I always appreciate the information I get on Navy for Moms.  So sorry for the family of Not da Mama may God comfort them during this difficult time.

Lots going on here! We were not able to attend the Prototype graduation at Yorktown yesterday. 1proudmama/EM/S8G/1403 Could you tell me which FB page you are a member of that showed pictures of graduation? Thanks!
