1proudmama, thanks for the woohoo.  :) This little guy will be my 7th grandchild and it never gets old.

Well done to your sailor, and all those sailors getting orders. There is still so much ahead! Bravo zulu!

ps Love the dog stories. So cute!

Thank you for all the well wishes. Getting thru bootcamp and school just would not have been able to survive without this group. I'm glad to see some new names on here and seeing the various stages of nuke school. And so appreciate those that have made it thru this step and encourage us through our journey.

Cerise - your sailor sounds like he is at the same place as my son. Congratulations!

NancyJo I had to scroll on my phone for ever to see what everyone was congratulating on. Woohoo on the pregnancy, how exciting.

B"Nukeson my lab would have been in that water after those ducks in a heartbeat. My neighbor has an inground pool, she goes swimming all the time. Luckily we are good friends and she puts up with my animals. She will even go all the way under for dive sticks. She is a trip.

Cotwin - I sympathize with your waiting to hear news. And as always woohoo on your culinary adventures.

Thanks again y'all for all the support.

When my SR was in college at one point he wouldn't return my calls and texts. Since I was paying for his phone I turned it off :)

Once he couldn't text his friends I suddenly heard from him again.

CoTwin, you're killing me! I want to move to where you are! I can just about taste them. You are scoring very well. I'll bet they are to die for.

No worries, your sailor will do just fine. He's playing with you and doesn't realize the risks to your and his health by doing so.

Not a word from my son. He passed the comps but no word on his orals. He is ignoring my txts and he is not answering his phone. AAAGGGJHHHHH!! He is stressing me out.

On the other hand today I passed my practical for the quarter end. 96%  Had to make 2 sour dough Baguettes, 6 Milk knot rolls, Focaccia, and 6 Croissants. in 4 hours, did it in 3 1/2!! Yea!!!!

T'sNukeMom & Lilo54 (& anyone else who's interested) - there is also a Nuke Mom's secret group on FB (which is what Patti was referring to).  If you are interested you can either PM Patti or myself to be added.

Cerise - Yay!  Sounds like things are moving along for your sailor.  Shouldn't be long now and he will be done - woohoo!

T'sNukeMomMM(class 1449A) :  The FB page is the following Navy Nuke School NNPTC & NPTU Goose Creek SC & Ballston Spa NY.  Just search for Navy Nuke School and several will appear.  Just click join and you should be approved.  It is both Mom and Dad's and spouses.  There are two other pages - Navy Nuke A-School and Beyond and Navy Nuke Parents and Spouses.  I have joined all three.  My son is also an MM (class 1520A).
