Good morning all, Welcome Jrzygurl, being I am getting "ready" for Chrissy's 2nd deployment , I can tell you that your mixed feelings are normal, crying is normal. I believe crying is a healthy release of emotions. But don't tell you sailor you cry because they don't need to know that your are worried about them, just vent to us. That is what we are here for. Yes, keep your phone by your side but don't expect many phone calls. Send emails but they will not always be able to write back. Send care packages. The hardest part for me is not knowing where my child is, so I rely on my faith . We have a tradition in the Navy called "The Blue Candle' It helps. I light  a blue candle and pray.

Beautiful picture of the two of them!
Blondie, glad she's finally on the mend and being cautious.
Catsmom...hope you get a raise or better yet...her job. And best of luck with Crystal and her due date.
Prayers for all of our sailors and extra for those deployed....and moms and other family members who are worried

Emmie, love the picture, beautiful mom and baby. Congradulations to all of you. Hope you get to hold them both soon. If you need I will go to SD and hold him for you ;-)

JRZY welcome to the group, we have an amazing group here. Praying for your girl, and all our Sailors. All our military. I agree keep your phone with you always, you never know when she will call. (((Hugs))) To you. Deployment is never easy, epically in that part of the world.

Blondie, continuing prayers for your girl, Happy her CO is understanding. One day at a time. Tell her don't push it.

YAY Jean, happy you found a good job. Praying it becomes permanent.

Crystal sees the Dr.today. Can't wait to get a due date. Off to another fun day at work..so much better when the boss is gone. She has decided she is just going to sit at her desk all day, so guess who has to do her job too. Going to go in and ask our director for a raise, and more hours since I am doing her job too. Praying for all our sailors.

Hello All!

My Sailor girl and her hubby (Marine currently deployed!) Had their baby on Friday 4-17-15. Lincoln is beautiful! I can't wait to get to SD to hold him in person!

I hope the pic comes through (I am not very tech savy with pictures!)

Prayers for all who have deployed girls and new navy moms!

We are sending up prayers for our sailors.

Good Morning to Everyone.

Blondie, I am glad she is getting better and that her CO is understanding and giving her some slack. Will keep praying that she gets 100% fast.

Catsmom, I wish we could send rain but apparently we are in a drought system too. With no snow pack to fall back on they are going to ask all of us to start conserving water soon. Today will be our last day of sun for a week. We start back to our usual rainy and cold pattern.

I am nervous about the breaking news as well Jrzygurl. My dtr. is not deployed but i know they have to go when and where they are sent.and she could go anytime i guess. Praying for our sailors safety and success in their missions.

I am having  tough time after seeing the breaking news today. i know they are all safe but it is hard to see and think about your daughter being in the middle of all of that. I'm so proud, but so nervous! i cry at the drop of a hat.
