Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 181 and 182

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

LOL...no, I still think you are a gem...you shine no matter what!  :)

Our son is in Ship 04 Div 181.  Does anyone have a clue what week they are on?  I am assuming three with some four?  Lol  This "push" division seems to throw off the time schedule that we see on websites/forums.  Any clues to help this "lost mom"?

Loving Mom, I think you are right week 3 with some 4 sprinkled in (our SR is also Ship 04 Div 181).  When we talked to our SR last weekend he had just had his wisdom teeth out the Thursday before and taken a test on Friday. They were wrapping up 2-5 this past Monday.

Flight booked, hotel and car reserved, RSVP for Sarge sent over.  NOW I want to keep planning but don't know what to plan. LOL

The excitement is building on our part too.  Weekend was good especially with the phone call last evening.  Our SR seems to be adjusting to Boot Camp.  Seems the SR's are not "in the know" as to Liberty during PIR weekend.  I know all of the things we have read but do our SR's have a clue?  Does anyone know when they get orders for watch that weekend?  Trying to make some plans, but difficult to do when that is a possibility.  Our SR keeps talking about he cannot wait to wear his uniform out in public.  Too cute, huh?  I just said, "keep focusing on the daily tasks ahead of you".  One day at a time.  Lol

During our phone call on Friday, my son mentioned a flag design they were doing. The connection was really poor and I forgot to ask him about it on Sunday. Can anybody tell me what these flags are and what they're for? It sounded like a competition of some kind - but I could be completely wrong!

I must an absolute goof.....I have been in education for 25 years and a principal.  These sites are so confusing!  Every day I keep finding something new!  TeriG did you find anything more about the "flag question"?  Just curious.  Our Sunday phone call was full of static and we missed a few things our SR was saying.

Loving Mom, nobody has replied yet and I haven't heard more about it from my son. I sent him a letter last night but it looks like US mail runs a little slower in the military, so I may not hear back for awhile. I'm having trouble with site navigation too but I'm extremely grateful for this site. I'm finding it very informative and supportive, and the moderators in all the forums are so kind every time someone (like me) asks a question they must have answered a million times before. Thank you moderators! But I'm still having a heckuva time finding my way around. The Facebook resources are helpful too, btw.

Thanks KAM mom......appreciate all of your insight and support.  I came across this prayer last night, "Lord, please look after our recruits.  Give them strength and understanding that with a little more time and positive attitude they go on to be proud Navy book camp graduates and Sailors like those before them.  Please comfort the families and help them also to keep a positive attitude during this time and to understand that their recruit will heal and go one to give them another reason to be proud as I am sure we already are!  Keep our recruits on task and ready to graduate soon.

Does anyone know were Divisions 181 and 182 are in their training?   I'm thinking they should have started week 4 here at the end of week 3 since they are a push division.  Let me know if your SR has done the live weapons test yet.  Thanks!

KAM Mom, our SR said today was supposed to be his 4-1.  He is in 181, I hope that helps.

Thank you, momstuy.   That does help.  I will revisit the information on day by day and see what the rest of this week looks like.  My SR is headed to Goose Creek.  Where is your SR headed?
