My grandson who just turned 1 is going to PIR with us.   Is there somewhere during the ceremony that my daughter can go with him if he gets restless, even if its an area off to the side or back where she can stand with him?  We thought my son-in-law was going to be able to come with us and watch him at the hotel, but now he can't.

Once the ceremony starts people are not supposed to get up, so it would be best if you were to sit near the exits and restroom area. Some children do well and some don't do so well. If your little one is not used to loud noises you may want to try some ear plugs get him used to them before PIR so they are not new on that day. Bring a toy or two and some snacks. You may be in the Drill Hall for nearly 4 hours. Get there early to get good seats near the edge.

Thank you both.  The last thing I want to have happen is for him to disrupt the ceremony or cause anyone else to not be able to enjoy it.  I feel better that there is somewhere she can stand with him if need be, and we will certainly try to set near the exits where she can leave totally if necessary.  I am really wondering if they should maybe just watch from the chapel, if that is still an option.  My SR really wants her sister (and nephew) there but I also don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Do you know if they still stream it in the chapel and would she be able to go there to watch with him?  I know I read somewhere it wasn't always streamed live there.

See the info on the Chapel in PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend.

Someone brought a baby to my son's PIR, and that's about all you could hear was crying. Finally, another mother tried taking the baby to quiet her.

You can stand so if you have need to remove the small child you can.
