Hi all - Happy Monday!

Hubby made it through his colonoscopy!  One small polyp was removed so he might have to re-check in 5 years rather than 10, but the Dr. said he would let him know for sure in a couple of weeks.  We stopped on the way home and he had himself a great big burger with onion rings (and half of my chicken sandwich too!).  He wasn't happy that he couldn't have a beer for 24 hours after...wah, wah wah but he survived ;-)

Spoke with our sailor on Saturday - still doing the old "hurry up & wait" game.....

College son had a track meet on Saturday at UC San Diego. We got a little rain off & on throughout the day but nothing major....It was a little cold for me but then again I'm always cold! Didn't hamper his running - he ran the 1500 in 4:16:00 which was a PR for him so he was happy!

Margavant - WooHoo - Bravo Zulu to your son!

tina41 - Congrats on the new grandbaby - how exciting!

Dinky - It doesn't sound ridiculous - it sounds wonderful!  Enjoy the time with your family.  Hopefully you can share some pictures with us.

1proudmama - sounds like your sailor is making some nice memories while he is home - continue to enjoy the time!  And you too CoTwin!

Just realized how ridiculous a month in Europe sounds! I'm not rich, just visiting elderly parents and family!

I love Estes Park. Colorado is so beautiful. It's on my many might retire there states when that time comes.

It is such a relief when they finally pass their boards. I could here it in my boys voice. Good to have him home. Wish girls were out of school so we could do more as a family. Hubby and him are going to WV to do some white water rafting and then doing some short weekend day trips. He also has quite a few college friends around. One pretty much lives here when he comes home. He arrived here about an hour after my son got home and hasn't left since. lol two for the price of one. He does have school tomorrow so we'll see.

Dinky Europe for a month! Never been but that's on my bucket list too. one day.... Enjoy can't wait to hear all about it.

Boy I guess congrates are in order again.

Still enjoying my son. He seems content to just hang out here. He has quite a few friends here that go to college so has got some great friend time in, even reconnected with an old friend who moved over here when she was 10.

We took a drive and had lunch in Lyons then drove on to Estes Park yesterday, good thing cause today is rainy all day so far.

Just received a call from my son.  He passed his Prototype oral boards.  He said he feels such a sense of relief.  I said you should also feel a sense of accomplishment.  He is not sure of graduation he thinks maybe May 22nd.  Not sure though.  I told him to ask.

Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Dittersmom - I am on the boat's phone tree and get messages when they are doing mail drops. The ombudsman is who told me that parents are not allowed on the FB page, only wives fiancees and gf's!!  I understand that some parents on some boats have separate FB pages, but our boat does not.

NancyJo - Yes, my son is on a boomer sub.

My hubby and I had a city escape in SF this past week! Weather was great and it was nice to get away from it all! Have a Sunday fun day, everyone!! :)
