Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello
It has been a long time since I have posted and I am sorry. I hope everyone has been able to connect with others in the PACT program. My son is now 3 and a half years in and it has been a great experience. He thought he wanted to be an AM. When he got on the ship, he was put with the AO’s. Now he is an AD3. It was best for him to start PACT because we didn’t know much about the Navy and he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. This has been a good route for him.

Michael's mom...I really thought I responded to your post the other day but I do not see it here. Hummm...I must not have hit add comment. Anyway...When you said Texas is only 3 hours away, I was thinking 3 hours by car from SD....lol...and then I looked at a map! It is like 1100 miles. So I had a good laugh at myself! Somehow, someday we will meet. I am looking forward to it. I hope Michael is doing well. I am excited for him. My daughter is calling me less often. I miss her calls but I am glad she is settling in.

Michael's mom. My daughter told me his ship went out for a trial run. I wondered what he thought so GOOD to hear that he likes it. What an experience. I can't imagine what it's like.
My daughter is doing better. She is making friend and having fun. I asked her if she wants me to come out for her birthday in Nov. and she told me to come the weekend after. I am sure so she can celebrate with her friends. Which is a good thing because she was so home sick for a while that she kept asking me to move to SD and live with her.
Vickie360...I know what you mean about road trips. Yikes! I don't think we ever stop worrying. I do a lot of praying and meditating to try and stay calm. It does not always work but I try! Do you know when and where your son is getting deployed?
It is pretty cool that out sailors are all in SD. Someday I hope we can all meet. There is a group of moms on the Mom's of daughters group that have been talking for years and this spring some of them were able to meet. What fun!

Yeah splash!!! Glad she is getting a better place!! My son is back on land and is talking his first road trip - a little scary for me- but he is getting ready for a long deployment so I guess he deserves a little fun!

Ladies - the time has come for me to depart from this group and move on to a next chapter but please know that all PACT moms and sailors have a special place in my heart. All I can say is stay positive and give & show lots of love to your sailors and drench them with encouragement while they are undesignated. Fill up their motivation tanks with lots of positiveness and support!! Stay strong and faithful and know that God is in control. I wish the best to all of you and your Sailors.
