You're right, J'smom, there are way more good people than not so good in this world. Just look at all the wonderful moms and males here. Prayers for all our loved ones in harm's way foreign and domestic.

britefuture & NonnaB -- thinking of you both and your families, praying that this madness will end soon.

I also saw the video of the mom going after her son for participating in the rioting.  Good to see someone still has common sense!

Brute future, my nephew was with BCPD but he is now a captain with MDTA, but all hands were needed so he is s right in the thick of things. We are worried and proud at the same time.

Goodmorning all. My husband and BIL made it home safely. Hubby said he had six fires and didn't have any trouble until the last one. They were throwing stuff at them but that didn't stop them from doing their job. He's now off for his usual 5 days, yay. BIL had to go back in last night.

NonnB-Glad your family is safe. Is your Nephew a BCPD officer?

Got a text from my son this morning. Said he has free text messaging internationally. He isn't at his destination yet. Has a long layover. Must be a huge plane. He's in row 4 of 7 and it's full. He also said he's having trouble sleeping. Not sure about you but I've never found it easy to sleep on a plane. Then again, the longest flight I've ever been on is a six hour flight.

NonnaB - prayers for your nephew and all of Baltimore.

Britefuture - how are you doing?

Comment by NancyJo (NNPTC) on April 28, 2015 at 4:54pm

NonnaB, you and your family are in my prayers, as well as the good citizens of Baltimore. So tragic.

Just saw a picture of my nephew in riot gear. Hearing about where he is doesn't quite grab at your gut the way seeing it does. Prayers that this violence in my home town ends soon and that everyone is safe.

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

Britefuture - Yes, I hope your husband is home safe & sound.  I saw some more news coverage this morning and it's really sad the devastation being done.  Very scary situation indeed.

J's/S'sMom - Yes, hubby agrees now that it wasn't as big a deal as he thought (and managed to put off for almost 5 years!).  I'm just so glad that he finally got it done.....he's a difficult one to get in to the dr.....
