For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 197 and 198
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Ours too! Have you heard anything from him? We haven't gotten a letter, and I'm wondering if we're going to get a call maybe Sunday? I'm guessing

My son is in div 197 and we got his box about april 12th and letter a few days later. I was surprised to get it that quickly. It will be three weeks soon, waiting for his call.

My son is in 197 as well! We received "the box" the first week he was gone and the form letter shortly thereafter. We also received a short call requesting a copy of his passport the first week or early the 2nd week. He sounded great and was such a blessing to be able to hear the I'm okay in his voice during our 1 minute conversation. I have yet to receive a letter and am trying to send one out every few days. In this age of instant information, it's difficult to be patient for snail mail. I keep thinking... any day now we will get a letter.

My son is ship 04 division 198. He swore in on 04/07/15, we received the I got here call, his box and his form letter. Waiting patiently for his personal letters to come. I have written a letter everyday since has been gone. I hope he is getting them. Since then I have been stalking this Page and facebook for a glimpse into his new life. (Thank you by the way for providing that!) He has an eleven year old sister that's been emotional. I have to admit to random tears when I walk by his room. I have made travel arrangements and hotel reservation for the 06/5 PIR, purchased insurance just in case things change. I cant wait to see him. He will be going to A school to be a corpsman, he thought San Antonio, TX. Does anyone know when they will begin to have Liberty there. My eleven year old is unable to attend PIR, so we promised her that we would take her to San Antonio as soon as its allowed.

My grandson is in Div 198. Mom & Nana will be there for graduation. He is also going to A school in San Antonio. Looking forward to meeting fellow proud parents and grandparents next month.

My son is in ship 04 div 198. Also going to San antonio for A school and we are planning some sea world fun as soon as he gets visits! We are flying out to see him for PIR and soooo excited! Looking forward to getting to know yall better and hopefully meeting u at PIR and/or meet and greet;).

I check our po box before work, then when I check for my work, then on the way home. So far nothing yet but I have acheck run to drop off. The ladies at the post office just smile.
