How about Saturday May 23rd at Clara's in Battle Creek? I've thrown that date out in the Michigan Navy moms group on Facebook. Is that a good weekend for you Seabeemom?

Kathy B I totally understand because it would be a long drive for you too. I've always been part of those long drives myself but decided to throw out something closer to home and get a few moms together.

Thanks, Seabeemom. What day/time of the week works best for you?

Kim F - prayers for you and your treatments.

Lorraine - I would be willing to come to Battle Creek.  On the river sounds nice.

We were in Norfolk this past weekend for the USS GHWBush Friends and Family Day on Saturday.  It was wonderful spending time with Katie and her boyfriend Stephen.

Lorraine, I would love a get together at Clara's! I've been hoping for something closer to us. Let me know when you have in mind. We go to Germany for Brian's wedding at the end of July. Looking forward to meeting some of the other moms!

Ruth, so good to hear from you even if life has been tough lately. We're all pulling for you, hoping work improves and also that things turn around for your sailor. Is retirement in your plans yet?
Kim F, sorry to hear about the chemo treatments. I had 6 of them in 2008. If I can be of any help, email me at lalindsey3@yahoo.com.
I would be willing to host a luncheon in Battle Creek at Clara's on the River. It's a great place to eat and they don't mind if we hang out for 2-3 hours. Let me know if anyone is interested in coming this way. After two days of yardwork, I'm kicking back on this rainy day. Looks like we might visit the tulips tomorrow.

Kim, hope all goes well for you on Fri. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Michigan weather.  Finally!!!  Is anyone planning any get togethers any time soon?

I will have my first chemo treatment on Friday, at Lacks Cancer Center in Grand Rapids.  I think it's gonna be a LONG summer!!  On the up side, I only have to have 4 of them, so I hope they go by quickly.  My Sailor surprised me, by coming home right before my surgery in March.
What a blessing that was.

Hope you all have a blessed week.

Kim

Ruth, congrats on your new granddaughter. I hope things pick up for the better for you and your family. Just think June will be here and you will get a break at least from driving the bus.
