Hi NavyMom2013. I am in the same boat. What did you find out?
Comment by NavyMom2013 on November 25, 2014 at 10:00am

My sailor needs a passport before deployment.  I have the passport photo, official birth certificate, and papers he needs to fill out.  Where is the nearest passport office and do they have limited hours? and What is the best way to get these papers shipped to him fast?  I was hoping to get it shipped somewhere on base since he can't get it brought to the ship, but I can't seem to find that "someplace."

He doesn't have much time left.  I know that the passport will have to be shipped to me so I can route it to him on the ship out at sea, hopefully before they dock the first time.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

My son is new to Mayport and just beginning his first deployment. Not sure what to expect.

How does a sailor go about getting a Passport for the 1st time?  Can it be done on base?  How long is it taking to receive it?  Is it better to have the address listed as mine so I can mail it to him due to him on the move with the Navy?  Thanks!!!

My apologies, but it appears I may have posted this incorrectly before, so you may see multiple posts.

A LTJG is being deployed for 6 weeks in your area and the arrangements for her dog fell through. message me if you can help.

Greetings all! I am a member if the USNA Parents club in the greater Charlotte area. Several of the USNA groups have been cross posting about an upcoming 6 week deployment by a LtJG in this area. Unfortunately her dog's care arrangement have changed. She could really use our help. Feel free to contact me and I will pass the info on to you directly.

Thank you in advance for helping this young lady out. I know it's not easy to leave our pets, let alone our lord ones!

I am new to navy life. My husband is finishing up his training in great lakes a school, and he got his verbal orders for mayport/uss taylor. Its currently on deployment until July so will he be sent to the ship wherever it is or be on shore until the ship returns?
