Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 203 and 204

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello everyone from the Pacific Northwest !!   Just wondering if anyone has gotten a  letter yet ?   I'm hoping by next week at least !!  You are right, Buzzbeck, no news is good news !!   I will keep prayers up for all our SR and those training them, they are all incredibly busy. Hope everyone has a great weekend and maybe we all will get a call tomorrow !!

Yes, we are from NW and got our first letter middle of last week, and the first call came today!! So good to hear his voice. All is well. And yes, he said theyare so busy that there is not much time to write. Praying now for good health for DIV 204, and for wisdom for trainers.

We are from the Pacific NW area too. And DIV 204.
I finally got a letter last Tuesday! Was the best piece of mail EVER! There were a few letters in one envelope. They get limited postage, so I deliver to family :)  looking forward to this Tuesday!
Got a phone call today ! Oh to hear her voice !  They are progressing along well, really well actually! They've taken some tests and will move into the next stages of learning equipment/artillery training.
Sounded tired, homesick & could use a Latte, but was excited about things and making friends and like the RDCs !
Prayers & Blessings to them all and their families.

What is a good calling card to send my SR in boot camp?

That's a good question! You may have to pose this question to the PIR 06/05/15 Group to get answers.

I went to Fred Meyer, in the electronics area you can purchase calling cards.  I got one with 800 min. on it for I think $30.  I thought he could use it at A school until we can ship his cell phone.  If you're not certain as to which one to get, just ask and the clerk will help you choose the appropriate one.  It is activated at the check out.!!  I hope that helps you.  I asked my SR if he got one in the ditty bag and he said no! So I guess it is going on his debit card :( or something that takes it out of his paycheck.

I got a really nice 45 min call on Sunday. Has a bad cough and said most of the SR do, probably from the immunizations !! Said he did well on his tests and earned time to call home :) So happy because we have not gotten any letters.   He had guard duty and missed getting his letters out last weekend.  We should get them this week.   We are at the half way mark, we can do this!! Soon we will see our loved ones :)  Have an awesome rest of the week.  Prayers for our SR and their families .

Freddies! Thanks for the suggestion! We received a 2nd letter 2 days ago but it was very short. I mailed stamps and postcards. My SR seems to be eager to hear about what's happening in the news and sports while in BC. Was sick last week from the immunizations but no word of it now. He is getting to know his mates better. We are half way aren't we! Time seems to be going by fast now. I am so looking forward to PIR. Blessings to all.

Happy Mother's Day to all you awesome loving MOMs!!  Will be missing my SR today for sure, just like everyone else. We have very special young men and women and we are Proud Navy Moms :)

May you all have a blessed day today.

Hope everyone made it through Mom's Day with loving thoughts of our missed Sailors :) I know I shed a few hundred tears!
Did anyone get a call yesterday from Div 204? I know she has a calling card and heard from her last Sunday, but nothing this Sunday.. ?
Thank you for any feedback!

Hello, ThreeMz. Mother's day was awful. I just had to stay busy. I planted my garden and that helped a little. But I miss my sweet son who always gives me owes and sweet cards. I did not get a call Sunday, but he did call for about 10 min. On Saturday and said hell week was coming up and he was a bit nervous and told me not to expect any calls or letters. Keep our SR in prayer for the upcoming days and weeks ahead as they will be more intense. Hang in there, they are almost done and we can give them all the hugs we've saved up! Hope you are finding times of peace for yourself. Have a good evening. Goodnight for now.
We also got a very short call on Saturday, but not Sunday. Mother's Day I strived to be positive about all the great changes happening in our SR's life. But the tears still spring to my eyes thinking about him. Prayer helps: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Praying for DIV 204 for strength, health, and team work!

Prayers do  help a lot !! I know our SR need them for this week for sure.  Can't wait to hear how it all turns out.  I've read that RDC's from other divisions come in and do inspections on them and they are nit picky!!  I hope our division did well and they functioned as a strong unit.  I pray nobody got a hit for anything !!!  Hopefully we all get a call on Saturday with good news. Have a good rest of the week to all the moms and prayers for strength, endurance and wisdom for our SR. Love them all. :)
