Let's chat about our wonderful sons and daughters who have chosen the PACT program.

Hello

It has been a long time since I have posted and I am sorry. I hope everyone has been able to connect with others in the PACT program. My son is now 3 and a half years in and it has been a great experience. He thought he wanted to be an AM. When he got on the ship, he was put with the AO’s. Now he is an AD3. It was best for him to start PACT because we didn’t know much about the Navy and he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. This has been a good route for him.

Splash!!! Im so excited I'm practically jumping out of my skin! Katie received her orders for Coronado! She is "Seado Comp" and "Amphibious Construction Battalion 1" She reports 7/1, but may ask to go earlier. I believe this is the same as your sailor?!

You guys are the best!!! I'm glad we can learn from each other. Michaels mom - what are qualifications and orals? Is it different for each one depending on what area they are assigned? I'm going to try to remember to ask my son next time I talk to him. I learn something new every day. The other day he said he had to take a test for a forklift??? And they had to do a stress test first with an EKG. Interesting.

I agree ladies, my SR has such a positive attitude. He got to call home on Sunday and we talked about the PACT program, he said mom," I know I am going to have to work hard and work my way up from the bottom but I can do it". He is such a sweet boy. I agree One day at a time. Thanks again Vickie360 for starting this group!

When I first found out my sailor when is going to be a pact...I seriously just about lost it...everything I read was negative. I connected with Vickie360 and it was a Godsend. She has saved us all by creating this positive group for us. My son is now deployed and has already figured out some jobs he doesn't want. Thank you Vickie360 for creating this wonderful, caring, supportive, POSITIVE group. You have brought comfort to so many:)
