N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi smcw-I would think that Div 188 SR's would have all called by now since some folks got their "I'm a Sailor" call for Div 188 2 days ago.  I am just a little concerned but will keep in mind that no news is good news.

Captains Cup for this group....tomorrow.  It has always been the Sat. before PIR....however, again, never say never in the Navy!  Could they be doing it today???  It has happened before so whatever!  Whenever it is, it is a fun time for the SRs/sailors...lots of fun!

Comment by diannep on May 22, 2015 at 11:56am

smcw:  Well, it is possible that they went last night (with 191)....I had been told that 187-190 were going on Thurs night and that obviously wasn't exactly what happened.  But, yes, sometimes the dates are changed, especially for a holiday weekend.  If calls don't come in this afternoon then it will be next week.  Keep those phones close just in case!  You never know!

rygirlsmom,

I'm glad your SR daughter's RDCs sent her to get needed treatment and antibiotics!  Her health is nothing to mess with and hope she is good to go now!

I got a letter yesterday and my daughter said she will call on or around the 26th. And Roliesmom my poor daughter has had pink eye, stomach flu, and pneumonia and she is so stubborn about the going to the Dr too! They finally sent her to the hospital gave her a shot of Antibiotics and sent her to her rack for 24hrs and back at it she went!

I got a letter from my SR yesterday and yes 192 is next week. Poor thing woke up last week with pink eyes, yes in both. She did go to medical and got drops and spent one day in SIQ but now is all better :) so happy! I usually had to drag her to dr, lol.

I was told different?? So confusing.

Well, that definitely explains it. He must have had his days mixed up when he wrote this week's letter. Thank you, Diannep!
