PZmom: ours are in the same division my son will have his 19th birthday while in BC. Although he is not my only child he is my oldest and this is one of the hardest things I have been through thus far. I know we will all be so proud!

cristinab and mammabird: my son is also Ship 13/div 234. :) He called me Sat morn, and was tired but good. He had watch the previous night, so he only got a couple hours of sleep. My son is not a "phone guy", so I was thrilled that he talked so much. He really likes the food, and he sounded really good. He will have his 20th bday while he is in boot camp, and I already promised him that I won't even acknowledge it until I see him. Don't wanna make him "that guy", right? He is my only child, and I've never lived alone before. The last 20 years I have literally been P's Mom, and I couldn't be more proud of him. It makes the missing him part a bit easier. Thanks to all on this site, it's been very helpful and informative! I'm making plans to attend the PIR tonight with my mom. :)

I bet that made for a very nice day, Alan S!

I just noticed the countdown widget near the top of this page.  Forty-three days, everyone!

My girlfriend is ship 11 Div 236.  Also got the letter and box today!  And a nice surprise that graduation is earlier than I anticipated!

Marie; my son is also in ship13 div 233 and I was not lucky enough to receive a call yesterday and today.  That is wonderful.  I am sure he will be fine and he they are working as a team to help one another through.  Did you receive any letter yet besides the form letter?
