My son departed on May 20th as well, so proud of him but it's like the longest day at kindergarten, lol did he make friends ? Were they mean to him ? ..... I'm sure he is doing great, but I can't wait to hear him say that and get a letter so I can send him some notes !! Hang in there everyone....
Well said. I worry about all of that and more

Today was an exciting day!! We received our first letter which was scripted but had his address and PIR date! 17 JULY 2015!!!! Who's with me?!! BEST DAY EVER!!!!

That's awesome !! Congrats !!
When did he leave. How long did you have to wait for the letter.

My son also left on the 20th, and here I am crying as I write this. Got his box yesterday now waiting for the letter. This site has become my addiction. Thank you everyone.

Hang in there. I cry every day several time. I question our decision often although I know it was the right one. The waiting is unbearable.

I feel your pain and have been through the same this past weekend kellysue. This group has been my saving grace and I look forward to hopefully meeting many of you in July! Stay strong for your son and together we will get through this!! I just sent you a friend request!

I completely understand the addiction of this site; I've been on it every chance i get! I can hardly wait to get home from work and look for a letter.
Had a notice from fed ex, I missed the delivery of his box, and I didn't receive a letter today either :( ... I sat and wrote him a letter but it is soo disappointing. Can't wait to hear something !!
Got his box today. Ugh super bitter sweet. Still no letter and it's driving me nuts lol

I received my son's box today. This makes it officially real. Now I have to wait for the letter. His phone was in his shoe as well. It does make me feel a little better that he went there with two other people that will be with him on this journey. One of them is an IT and will be going to the same A school as well. I got his flight plan that had those guys name on it, which I was trying to remember. A little smile for the day!
