I'm new to the site. I'm reaching out to any moms of daughters who are in boot camp. She left may 20 for Milwaukee my last call from her was a scripted call that day at 2pm I have not heard from her in 6 days and I'm so worried. I hope to get a letter today. Any comment would be approximated. Im feeling very lost without hearing from her.

Hi there. My son left on May 19th and I too got the scripted call as well. Try not to worry because from what I've been told we don't want to hear from them right now. If we do that means that something is wrong. I'm holding on to the "no news is good news". Big hugs and just know they are doing good and are very busy.
Agreed! No news is good news!
Your son and my daughter must be in the same time frame for graduation. I can't wait for that day to see her. Let me know when you get a letter from your son. Also, is there a chat room for kids that left on the 19-20th of May? I love to chat with moms that will be at that graduation.

Once you receive the form letter there will be a group for your Recruit's division.

Note: Leaving on the same day does not necessarily mean that two Recruits will graduate on the same day. See Ship/Division--How it Works

Thank you for the information. !!  I cant wait to read as much as I can. I wish I found this group before she left.

Click on this one. Its a gold mine of info regarding the first weeks of boot camp.

Thanks for your reply. I miss her so much it is unbearable! She was told she did not need calling cards but I will get them and send them. Where did you get the cards, I have never bought them before! Luckily I live 20 min from Great Lakes Navel base!!  Im going there for 4th of July to see the fire works. I hope I can tell her by then that I'll be close to her that day.
