Hi everyone! Hope your Wednesday was wonderful! Went to our daughter's Senior Awards Night tonight. She was extremely disappointed though as right before we left she got a phone call from the recruiting office. Her recruiter is apparently in the hospital so he couldn't be at the awards night to give a quick presentation about her enlisting. The high school counselor did have her come up and let everyone know that she enlisted. Wasn't the same but at least they tried.

lovey1020,

We do understand, whether our daughters had a long wait in DEP or signed up and left right away, there is still just no way totally prepare for how it will feel the day they leave.  Will your grandson and son in law be living with you or near you?  It might be nice to be kept busy with the young one and you'll have lots to write about to your daughter!!! (oh, that's what Catsmom just said!! LOL)

Catsmom,

Enjoy your travels!!! We are in the Grand Canyon right now.  Staying here for 5 days.  I must admit I'm having a little problem with the 7,000 ft elevation.  Just the little amount of hiking and I'm out of breath!!!  Sometimes I just feel like I can't get in enough air!!!

Vickyrun,

Congrats to Chrissy!!! Maybe you can post a picture of the coin????  And on her anniversary!!

Vickyrun, Congrats to Chrissy! That is awesome! Tell her hoe proud we are of her too.

lovey1020, Hugs, know exactly how you feel! Happy you have a grandchild to help fill your time! And lots to share with your girl. She will love reading all about it in her letters.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We stayed home. Going to be traveling a lot soon.
