PACT Moms

Let's chat about our wonderful sons and daughters who have chosen the PACT program.

Hello

It has been a long time since I have posted and I am sorry. I hope everyone has been able to connect with others in the PACT program. My son is now 3 and a half years in and it has been a great experience. He thought he wanted to be an AM. When he got on the ship, he was put with the AO’s. Now he is an AD3. It was best for him to start PACT because we didn’t know much about the Navy and he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. This has been a good route for him.

Dragonfly- which PACT is your son? Mine is APACT. He graduated PIT on Jan 30th and started training March 2nd. He finished up at the end of March and then went to his ship. He is currently deployed- all I know is there is about. 7 hour time difference! On Navy For Moms, my favorites are this group and, before my son graduated, his PIR group. I have joined a couple of Facebook groups including the ship my son is on. It is ok but most of them are spouses so I like this one best!

My daughter told me she is getting "deployed" to Florida for a month this summer. I can handle her going to Florida...lol!  Keep in mind she is a MN girl and how hot and humid it is in FL in August! She is NOT going to like it!  Long ago when I was married my husband and I worked for Northwest Airlines and thought about transferring to Tampa. We went there in August. I have NEVER...EVER...experienced heat and humidity like that. It was horrible! I hope she does ok. Apparenly she was asked to go becasue she is the only one in her Platoon that has the qualifications needed. It has to do with shore to ship transport. Looks scary to me. I will do my best not to worry!

DepthCharge4   This is my most often used group within navy moms. I have joined a cpuple other groups fthat have to do with Coronado but I do not see much activity on them. I have not joined a Sea Bee group. This PACT group is my favorie group. I am also a member of Moms of Daughters. There is a lot of activity on in that group.
