Hi, someone told me they might have a FB sight that you will be able to see post of them in bootcamp. Is this true?

Yes. Look at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command

Thanks so much for your reply. He just text from the plane that he made it to Chicago so it's made it a little easier. I plan on writing him more than he would prefer I'm sure. Again thanks for the reply and I'm sure you will hear from me again.

My son left today, May 27th and trust me, I feel lost too, but this site is great.  My son's recruiter was great and we talked for quite a while yesterday.  I have his contact info and he told me to call him anytime.  My heart is just broken and I have cried so much, I swear I have bags the size of cucumbers under my eyes, but everyone here has been so supportive.  We can all keep each other going.

Thanks. I got his clothes yesterday which was hard. One week down for me and 7 more to go. Thought as days went by it would get easier but not yet. So ready to hear my baby's voice.

Oh God I am dreading that "box". I know it is going to kill me.  How did you handle it?  But hey, you should be getting the "letter" soon, right?

True Fact #382 - No Navy Mom has ever died from receiving  the "box".

Yet
Lol. But I did open that box so fast like he was is in it or something.
This is very helpful of the day by day!
