Good evening everyone, Happy Sunday. Chrissy finally got her care package that I mailed May 2nd. She thanked me on FB.

They made it to their third port call.  I just take it one day a at time, and try not to worry or think about when they may come home. I wouldn't say it gets any easier but I have learned more coping skills. So I hopefully will survive this better then her first deployment.

Thanks everyone. It might be for the better. They were losing people left and right while I as there. So maybe it wasn't suppose to be a place I was to put roots down. I know there is a place that will be mine and I will find it some day soon. I hope soon.

Good morning everyone.  Haven't had a chance to get on the last couple days.  Hubby and I took a short  hike into the canyon.  We had a goal and we were able to make it.  Climbing back up was so hard but we made several stops.  One side of the hike was in direct sun so that just felt longer.  Some guy, younger than hubby and I, passed out on the trail and had several rangers attending to him.  But it motivated me to make it all the way.  Took 2 1/2 hours but I was planning on 3 so I felt we did pretty good!!!!

roliesmom,

So happy you're on your way to seeing your daughter!!  Safe travels and waiting to hear how it all went when you get back!!!  Give your daughter an extra hugs from all of us!!!

Sonya,

So happy your daughter got her rating!!!  Congratulations to her.  And just to share a little Navy Nowledge - rank refers to officers.  Rating refers to the training a sailor has, LS for your girl, and rate refers to her pay grade, ie SN for Seaman, or 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class petty officer, and so on.  So if your girl is an E3 she would be LSSN, rating and rate.  It is very confusing I know, so just wanted to share this!!!  And thank you for the kind words on the family.

Julyasmom,

Congratulations on your daughter's graduation.  So sorry the recruiter wasn't able to make the presentation.  I hope her ceremony was special for her anyway!!!!

Jean,

Sorry just doesn't seem to say enough for what you are going through again!!!  That really sucks!!  I'm keeping you in my prayers and holding hope that after they get done restructuring there may be a position you can get hired full time for.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone, and a great weekend!
