Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 201 and 202

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yes, they do!! :)
Tickets purchased, hotel reserved, car reserved. Can't wait for next week! Was so nice to see a picture of him posted on FB. What is everyone planning for your day in Great Lakes?
Awesome, we are just going to go with the flow. Next Friday will be such a blessing, really looking forward to it. Have a great weekend!!
we are doing low key also. figured out recruit might need to rest and relax.

That is the best path to take!   Let your new sailor call the shots after PIR.  Some just want to get back in your hotel room and take a long hot shower...alone....after many weeks of showering with shipmates, timed showers!  Then they may want to put on some "civies" (regular clothes, bring them with you) to relax in the room.  Remember, they cannot be out of the room out of uniform....not even to walk down the hallway.  Others have been cooped up so long that they want to get out and go somewhere.  There is a nice mall nearby, Gurnee Mall---full of sailors!!.  Six Flags is nearby too, but they will be in their dress Whites and won't want to get them dirty, so maybe not a good place to go on PIR Day.  Chicago is about 35 min away and there is a train station next to RTC that will take you there.  Just be mindful of your time....they cannot be late returning to base.....big trouble.  They have a good walk to their ships too, so allow lots of return time!

Great, thanks for this additional information!
My son is Ship 13 DIV 201. Waiting on I'm a sailor call. My flight is Thursday and I'm staying in the Navy Lodge. Have to go alone :( because my step-son graduates high school the same day. Anyone else going alone?

I'm flying in Thursday with my other kids. We are also staying in the Navy lodge...join us to go to Sarge's if you don't want to go alone!

Our family will be at the Navy Lodge too and will be going to Sarges Meet and Greet. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Safe travels all!!
I've been sitting by the phone all day. Really thought they would call today.
My husband and I did the same thing. I believe we'll hear from them within the next couple of days. Hope you all have a blessed week!! We'll all be anxiously awaiting comments being posted for the I'm a Sailor calls for the remaining Divisions that finish Battle stations.
Did you get a call yet? Keep thinking they should call & confirm everything. I guess he would call for sure if something pushed graduation back, but I'm getting anxious.
