Hmmm, my Sailor daughter flew out of Midway to Pensacola and my friend's Sailor daughter flew out of O'Hare.  But us mommies flew in on the opposite airports!!  I came in through O'Hare and she came in at Midway!!  So, you got to get extremely blessed to pick the right airport~~  :)

Midway and OHare are about 30 minutes apart.  The majority of the sailors seem to fly from OHare, but like CatMom said, it just depends on where they can get flights for the entire group.

Good Morning All !

Susan,

It is a 50/50 chance the SRs will fly out of either Chicago O'Hare or Midway.  You might want to join the Groton, CT A school and do an informal survey to get a gauge on which airport most of those Sailors flew in from~~

So glad you got a letter Christine! Thanks for the information about 232. My SR didn't tell me that. Maybe between us, we can get more info!

Got a personal letter today! He's in 12/232 but says it's a integrated division so they share their sleeping space with guys in division 231. He also said ship 12 is way in the corner of the base so they have to march "forever to get anywhere". He sounds good though. I'm thankful!

ditto to what ellen said below!  So very true!  It is amazing what an emotional up and and down journey Bootcamp is.  But you will see it is all worth it on PIR Day!  Spectacular!  :-)  Good Morning!
