Thank goodness I found this site. My 18 year old son leaves for Great Lakes tomorrow morning. I am as I'm sure most moms in my situation are... Nervous, excited, bittersweet, sad. Reading all the information for new navy moms has already made me feel a little bit better. Thanks!
Thank you for the welcome, Tiffany. Although my recruit only swore in a week ago, the past several weeks have been a roller coaster for our family (especially me!) and this site has already been very helpful in seeing how others have and are currently dealing with the same. I have no doubt that I'll be relying on the support here a lot in the coming months!
Thank you for the welcome! Sorry for the late response. I joined and then got overwhelmed with his high school graduation and today is the first day I have been back on the site.
Thank you! I am happy to have the ability to communicate with other moms. Anyone have anything to share about their sailor's experience with OCS? My son will get his papers on Thursday. We are excited and nervous!
Thank you for the acceptance. And thank you for the notice to change my username. Heading to work so I will log on again later to check out the site. Thank you for this form. I am guessing it will be very helpful in the future.
