hugs. I agree. hardest days ever. when mine was in fit they could not call when they passed. so I waited for a call after every battle station..... for 3 weeks.... turns out he passed on a Monday but didn't have bs until Friday. if only I could have received they call on Monday. (you will, btw) it was harder and harder each passing day. but I'm here to tell you 30 seconds isn't bad! mine had a minute 30. you will get your call soon!!

Okay so will keep sending mail, not much else I can do but wait. And that is killing me. Not a wimp but this is tough!

they get 10 tries once into fit. my son swears all the prayers helped. I sent mail daily so he knew we were OK and just waiting for the eventual call. after he was out he said that part of the problem was all the helpful mentors who tried to pace him. he had to find his rhythm.... so he could last the 6 laps. some start fast so they can slow down later, some start slower so they aren't tired along the way. encourage him to listen to her breathing and pace herself. the call will come.

Well no call so I guess Monday wasn't her day. Any suggestions how to keep her motivated! I can't talk to her so just keep sending cards and letters. How long do they keep letting them try?

30 seconds isn't bad at all. she'll be calling you in no time. they won't test tomorrow (federal holiday), then will test again Monday/Wed/Fri next week. she will get to practice over the weekend on the treadmill. hoping Monday does the trick!

It is going to be a tough day for all of the recruits that were suppose to graduate today. Hope they stay strong! I received a call from my daughter last night, she had to arrange bill payments. She was very down, I hope the phone call gave her the strength to cut the last 30 seconds off her time.

I hope she has figured it out, she has to get out of boot camp first. She started with exercise then a diet at home. Very sensible diet, cut out all the fried food, ice cream etc. So she has a good start. She just has to pass the run for now.

Katheryn, has she figured out it's a life style change and not just a diet? I'm just warning you that many kids struggle each 6 month weigh-in..... because they creep too close to "overweight". then they crash diet, barely pass, repeat. but, once they figure out that diet and exercise are a life long friend, they succeed just fine. the threat of failing once out of boot is real. three fails and you are out. I've seen it over and over since it's an easy way to assist in force reduction... the sailors are in the driver's seat there. (and please, I mean no harm in this, just passing it along before you are out of here with a us navy sailor!)

Thank you for all the encouragement! I have sent a lot of paper encouragement her way! If that does not work than I will resort to bribery! It worked to get her in the Navy. Lilly had to lose 30 pounds before she could sign. I bet her $2000.00 dollars that she couldn’t do it! And I was very happy to pay that bet when she got in! She likes to tell people her Mom was the signing bonus. If I have to bet her another $1000.00 that she can do it I will. May have to get a second job but she is worth it. Thanks again for the support.
