We got a call today, but I was at the store! He called the house and talked to his Dad and his Sister. They said it was a short call, only about ten minutes, but he sounded really good - the best he's sounded so far. Happy 4th of July, everyone, and thank you to your loved ones for making the decision to choose a life path that benefits us all. They are all to be commended.

Got my 4th of July call from Div 254! He believes there will be one more call closer to graduation. Can't wait for both! Have a wonderful & safe Independence Day.

Shannon:  This WILL be ok.  My son was also delayed when he was at Bootcamp 5.5 yrs ago....they told him 2 weeks also, but then he resumed training a week later.  I too had airline reservations.....didn't know about Southwest then (no change fee) so had to pay the change fee on two tickets with American....was relieved to find that the new flights were cheaper than the original ones so I just paid $89/per ticket more than the $150/per ticket I would have had to pay if prices were the same.  It is not fun, I know.  But it happens....they can get delayed for sickness, test failure, discipline, etc....so try not to worry....he will be back to training soon.  Sorry you are caught paying more money for new tickets, but it will be worth it to see him at PIR!  My son also sounded terrible when he called to tell me he was being setback....but they get it together and move on.  I was angry at my son too but so proud of him when he moved forward!  So keep the faith!
