Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 938

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is in this division and will be heading to A school in Pensacola.  I have been getting letters and a couple of phone calls.  He says best days are mail days.  :)

Definitely looking forward to seeing him on 7/31/15.

Hi Bunny!  My son is in this division as well. My son is going to A school in Pensacola as well.  What is your son's rating?  My son is is going into Aviation Technology repair with computers and electronics.  I know I just butchered that. My son said he loves our letters as well.  It surprised me!  With calls two Sunday afternoons in a row it's been hard not to get excited about today's possibilities.....  Here's hoping! :)

Hi Jennblue.  My son's going into Information Technology.  Haven't heard from him this week yet - hope everything is going okay.   In his last letter he said he's been sick since he got there,  had a wisdom tooth extracted and got yelled at for yelling out profanity when he got the peanut butter shot.  He's got a lot of people to keep in touch with, so I will be surprised if I hear from him this week but I am always hopeful.   Only a few weeks left now -- we might get lucky and see them in the PIR videos in a couple of weeks!

I just got a call from my son!  So happy to hear from him!  I hope you all get a call!

My husband is in this division. Has anyone found a Facebook page for div 938?

I haven't found one for that specific division yet.  I'm getting lost in all of these different groups, though...lol!

Hey Bunny63, I agree! The things we do for love :) lol

I found a facebook page!!

Look for:  Ship 02 Div 938

No call yesterday, but hang in there ladies. We're more than halfway there!

Hello ladies with SR's in DIV 938!  I did not hear from my SR this weekend and we didn't receive a letter yesterday.  Did any of you ladies with SR's in 938 receive letters yesterday?  I was kind of getting use to the rhythm over the last few weeks of a Sunday afternoon call and a letter Thursday.  I understand the fact that neither of those things are to be expected, just appreciated so I'm working on that! :)  But I was just wondering if any of you received letters, phone calls last weekend or know if there is any reason for this change in pattern.  I know that they are in the thick of it all now.  I think this is their day 4-5.  Not sure but if that is true I think it means's the end of "hell week" for them so I'm guessing the increased pace is the reason for the silence but I thought on the chance that someone knows more I thought I would ask. Thanks!  It's harder to know what to say in all my letters to him without feedback.  And no new Facebook random pictures to comb through!  ugh! Please feel free to message me.  We really don't have long now...and sometimes it almost feels that way!  :)  Have a good day ladies!

Hi Jennblue - I have only received calls from my son when he needs info for clearances - lol!   The letter he sent dated 7/5/15 was short and mentioned a fire and not having as much time to write. He was able to call his girlfriend on 7/12/15 and she said he had pink eye last week but he's doing better overall.  I received a letter from 7/12/15 too  -he mentioned that a couple of guys were caught writing when they weren't supposed to be writing and they got in trouble for that, so he wasn't going to take any chances.  Apparently they had to get more shots last week too....(?!).

My son is in Div 938 and will be going to A school in Pensacola. He says same thing that best days are mail days :) Wondering what is the last day should send him a letter?  Does anyone know if they are able to take their phone and a few items with them when they fly out for A school?  I am a little stressed at all the unknowns at this point, but so excited to see him.
