Good morning all! It's a yukky overcast day here in the northeast. But that wont stop the celebrations, I'm sure. Today I celebrate what it means to be an American and to live under the blanket of freedom that our military men and woman provide myself and my family every day.

Thought that I would share the latest picture of the USS Theodore Roosevelt. My son isn't in this one because he was standing watch. I'm not bias though. It's still a great photo.

He's in Pearl also, on the USS Bremerton.  They haven't been out since he arrived but he's happy with his progress so far.  He also got the chance to attend crypto school and has just finished his JO courses.  So they're definitely keeping him busy while ashore.

IT gal, Where is your son today? Mine is in Pearl Harbor assigned to the USS Charlotte, a fast attack sub. He said his quals are going well. He is adjusting to life on a sub.

CO-TwinSalorsMom - my son graduated that day also!  We did get lucky with the weather.  It could have been a wash out!

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on July 3, 2015 at 10:41am

I was there Aug 1st 2014.  It was warm but we were lucky that it was not blazing hot and had partial clouds. Did rain some but not for the graduation.

Oh forgot also you will be receiving an invitation with a gate pass. Have that with you.

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on July 3, 2015 at 12:20am

I don't remember what time we arrived but the car line was not bad when we got there. Bring water or you can buy some.

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on July 3, 2015 at 12:16am

I found a cute little Mother-in-law cottage close to base that I rented. He stayed there after graduation and we left in the morning. I listed the contact info for that cottage in the discussions.
