Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 269 and 270

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Oh thank you lawlady1963! I'm going to ask him about your son. My sons name is Christopher. Let me know and I will let you know. I'm still waiting on a call and social letter. Praying!!

Hey there, It is nice to meet you!! My husband and I will be at the meet and greet also. My son is Jacob aka Jake and he will be a NUKE after BC. I look forward to seeing you at the meet and greet.

I am so hoping that we get phone calls this weekend!  My son Brad is Master At Arms and will be going to A school in San Antonio.  He's always been interested in law enforcement so he was thrilled that this was offered to him.

We are all going to need to where something with our screen names on them lolol!

lovemyson,

Hello, my son is in Div 269 which is the brother div to your son! It is nice to meet you! I plan to go to the meet and greet

Hello Trae's Mother,

I will be there also! i'm excited also! I cant wait to finally see him. In one of my sons letters he said he couldnt wait until graduation either and it felt like waiting for Christmas!

we only have 30 more days!!

we are flying in wednesday. Does anyone know anything about ribbons? I read a while ago how some make ribbons?

lovemyson,

Good morning, this is the first time I have been back on the site in a couple of days.  I plan to attend the meet and greet and look forward to meetting everyone in person.  I am so excited that time in winding down.  I have been in prayer for everyone's sons, daughters, husbands and loved ones! Hopefully we will catch up at the meet and greet.  As far as the ribbons, Im not aware of anything.

Has anyone heard anything as of yet? I really have been hoping for a call today!!!

No I haven't, and it's killing me!  I get on here every hour to see if someone from our sons' division has gotten a call.  My phone is going everywhere with me, even the bathroom!  LOL!  I keep telling myself 'there's still time!'

Still nothing... I am not sure how late they can make calls...it is probably 7:30 there. I hope they get to see fireworks or something this evening to celebrate the fourth!!! I hope you have a happy fourth. Maybe tomorrow!

Nothing here, either.  My fingers are crossed for tomorrow, though!  I don't think they get to watch fireworks or anything, according to the RTC facebook page.  If I hear anything tomorrow, I will let you know!!!  At least I can take comfort in the fact that none of the 269 moms have received a call...it would really worry me if some did, and I didn't!

Today was a little hard. First 4th of July family gathering without my son. No call yet. was hoping to hear from him. Maybe tomorrow.

My son called home just now!!!  He sounds so good, is passing all of the tests thus far...actually said he's kind of enjoying boot camp!!!!!  He said the food is 'pretty good!' and he has adjusted well.  It was so amazing to hear his voice after so long of not hearing it.  He said everywhere they go, they march...they even marched to the building where the phones are lol.  He's passed his swimming, he didn't like jumping off the platform, and he's passing the physical fitness stuff just fine.  I hope other moms are getting their phone calls, too...its made all the difference with me!  I feel kind of silly for worrying so much now lolol.
