HI

Welcome aboard new moms. Keep jumping into the water  - the means keep sharing about yourself and your sailor. What was said about the cell phones - agree. My sailor ( when there for 3 = years)  lost 3 cell phones. Well one he through into the bay when he had a tantrum, but he purchased a BETTER one and was happy. All I will add- please make sure your sailors have their pass ports ! And YES they will need them.

Fingers crossed your son will get his package. And I thought he was a Cub's fan - giggling.

Drama - I thought you only had drama on the stage acting. Gee gf - you have drama at home - NO Coffee or Chocolate! Honest - I don't know if I could. Brave lady you are .

I know Blondie - you do try to rest. You just have to remember to take out the batteries. Looking forward to more stories. And fingers crossed for Blondie Jr. to hear about her job soon.

Has the kitty come home yet? What an amazing idea for the kitty to find w ay home.

Maggs- have you considered yet in turning in your photos to a major bird watching magazine or even Audubon Society?

Your are have such talent in getting this pictures. I truly believe the birds come to you to have their photos taken.

And IF you ladies do meet up - SHARE hugs!

Need to get going soon. I have a cub scout meeting to attend in a couple of hours. Plus to rest a bit. Riker is sleeping. Oh please share information about teething!

He still have not cut in those two teeth. And he is s moody - small fever - and now it appears he has sinus issues. Or is this part of teething ? Help with advice and what to do to help him feel better. Mommy and Daddy not to sure how I dealt with my sons' teething - rubbing Jack Daniels on the gums. It worked! happy babies !

An d only other major gossip - IN SEVEN HOURS MY SAILOR WILL BE HOME !!!! I was able to finish several small tasks - said good by to the Laundry Fairy and bake chocolate chip cookies - an apple pie and a pumpkin pie. Have to come up with something for dinner.

Got to collect those hugs. Oh to teh new Navy Moms - 1st rule - Navy Moms get first hugs and talk on phone first too! Knock anyone out of your way is permitted :).

And - Kim - I feel you. Get on here and talk or call me. Gentle hugs.

Hugs all

Blondie - went on a guided tour of one of the Smithsonian building years ago and the guide told it would take 300 YEARS to see every exhibit under the care of the Smithsonian. So, hope you have your walking shoes on next time you go! LoL

Hi Lori!  Atsugi is the Navy base in the town of  Ayase-shi.  My sailor and his wife were there for three years.  They loved it!

My Atsugi sailor who got orders to San Diego has now been reassigned to Mississippi.  Oh well, the humidity should be familiar.

Christine - agree with everything so far. Your sailor will be participating in several sessions of the only way to describe as "orientation" RE: Base, local culture and social mores, and your sailor can get more specifics about communication. Just be ready that even though he is out of PIR they run them pretty hard and time off is precious so don't feel too disappointed if your sailor doesn't reach out or respond to you with any frequency. It just comes with the job. And of course if they are out to sea NO Phones - e-communication only.
