My son left for boot camp July 1, just literally recieved a call minutes ago from him, hardly able to understand him becuase he was so incredibly upset. Told me he was coming home. I tried to get information from him, but between his crying and upset, it was difficult, he said it will take a few days to process the paper work, but that was it. We tried to calm him down and encourage him to stick it out, but I have never heard him like that before. Can someone tell me what to expect? Will his recruiter be able to help me tomorrow?

Thanks!

Thank you, I appreciate the information.

My daughter went to boot camp when your son did, I have not heard a whisper. What did you learn?

My daughter went same day
My daughter left July 1 too and we know nothing yet. Tbat monning she sent me message staying I can't. Process before six am them seven hours later sent I'm good and am at airport.
I saw on thread somewhere about the Pir dates and you are looking for ship dates. Per our recruiter my daughter who shipped on July 1 has Pir 9/4 div 289 ship 11. Hope it helps

The same ship date does not guarantee the same division or PIR date.

See: http://navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/ship-division-how-it...

Thanks, I already have Ship 11 for that division, but others are reporting Division 289 in the 08/28/2015 TG. HMMMM??? That is another reason why it is important to get the info from The Form Letter rather than the recruiter. Now I have to check down the source/s who indicated 08/28/2015 and see if they have received The Form Letter.

My son also left on July 1 st from Michigan. He also said PIR is on 9/4. He came down with pneumonia and bronchitis the first week and was in the hospital for two days. I live in California so I couldn't do anything but pray.

Missingmy_sailor, your recruit is still expected to have PIR as scheduled unless he calls and tells you he has been ASMO'd. Any problems of less than a week early on usually do not delay the recruit.

I left info for you on your My Page.
