Good Luck to him RoseMarie!  I'm sure he'll nail it!  Try not to stress...  Yes, I've received 3 - 20 to 30 minute calls so far.  So blessed to hear from him!  His knee is bothering him so please pray he feels better.  He said a lot of guys have knee and ankle problems right now.

Hey everyone!  My son called this past weekend, which was wonderful!  BUT he told me that there's some kind of physical fitness test they have three attempts to pass, and he told me he failed the first one by 3 minutes and he just took the second one and failed it by 19 seconds.  He said he's taking the third one in two weeks.  He said if he fails it, then his graduation date gets pushed back TWO WEEKS!!!  He said he's sure he will pass it, since his second attempt was so much better than his first attempt.  But I am a nervous wreck!  He's always been in good shape, so I was surprised when he said he failed it twice.  But all the arrangements are made and I'm scared he won't graduate on 7/24!  I'm going to be a wreck for the next two week!!

Karen, Navymom64, and kellysue, my son is in Div 246.  It looks like they are all in Brother Divisions.

Hi all. When do we find out when our SR is up for battle stations? Also how do we know what time they will be flying out Saturday? My husband is going to Mississippi. Thanks! p.s. 17 more days!

jaysmom:  Nope, 900 division will NOT be doing BattleStations last....unless there is a change in schedule!  :-)

Navymom:  They are good about giving passes to the family members of the new sailors in Chicago....they love their sailors!  But they will not without ID!

Hi Jakesmom, Navymom64, and kellysue, my son is also going to Pensacola. He is in Div 246. We are planning on buying him a laptop for A school - we asked and said it would be good. Even if not required, he would be able to access the internet and skype.

Jakesmom, I booked a room close to airport, my youngest daughter is flying home Saturday morning at 8:15.  I picked a hotel that has shuttle service because I don't like O'Hare to have to drive there and park.

Hi Jake's mom!  My daughter is going to Pensacola also, training to be air crew!  She is in 243. What is your son in?

Comment by Navymom64 on July 7, 2015 at 10:28am

At the airport, at least here, you gotta get lucky..one guy was going to give us passes but my daughter was not there yet so we waited, when she arrived, he was not there so I had to approach someone else...That person said...oh nnooo, we only do that for people that are being deployed....ugghh.... so she stayed out in the main area of the airport instead of going through.
