Mama:  The blue candles are not just for BattleStations....they have been a symbol in the Navy for all family members/friends of SR/sailors when they are praying for them, thinking of them, remembering them....when in a test, when deployed, or just whenever!  Some order specific Navy candles online, others get any blue candle and decorate it themselves, others just have a blue candle!

Good Morning All !

Anyone else with an SR in my husbands division please send me a friend request so I might can get some info bc I haven't received much realitive info the only 2 letters I've gotten since he's been gone and one actual 30 minute call so I have no idea what's going on

sawysawv:  Your SR can tell you when their division goes through BattleStations.  Be sure to read the BattleStations discussion above for more info on BattleStations.

Your SR will not find out when he is flying out until right before PIR when he gets his orders/flights.

RoseMarie:  Depending on when his division does BattleStations, their final test, he will have from 1-3 chances to pass if he fails the 3rd PFA (fitness test) and still be at PIR.  He only missed by 19 seconds this time....a great improvement!  So I bet he will do it.  No matter what a SR did on the first two PFAs, each MUST pass the 3rd one in order to do BattleStations.  Prayers that he will improve on that last one and have no issues.  If he doesn't pass it by his BattleStations day, he will call you to let you know.  But remember, he should get more chances so don't cancel those reservations!

Friends,

This scripture is so appropriate for the Battlestations that your SRs will be going through soon.  Perhaps you can share with your SR in a letter now.

     "Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

      I have summoned you by name;  you are mine.

      When you pass through the waters,

      I will be with you; and when you pass

      through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

      When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;

      the flames will not set you ablaze.  For I am the Lord,

      your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior..."

                                                                 Isaiah 43:1b-3a

RoseMarie,

If your SR son is that close to passing the Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA), he will undoubtedly pass it the 3rd time which is the one that everyone must pass, regardless if they passed the first two.  Prayers for your SRs conditioning and he will do great and will be at the July 24th PIR!!

Oh no!  I hope his knee gets better quickly!!  My son had to have a root canal.  He also told me a lot of guys had to have their wisdom teeth pulled.  Luckily, he didn't have to have that done.
