For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 279 and 280
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

That's great! I received a letter from my son, but he didn't mention friends or buddies names other than he's made a lot of them. After taking to so many people on Navy Moms and Facebook, it would be nice to know who's SR belongs to who and if any of our SR are friends.

My son is in 280. I got two letters on Wednesday. He wrote them on Sunday. So happy to hear from him. Can't wait to see him on the 21st!!!! We went to Coronado Island this week and bought a Navy Mom sticker for my truck.

If anyone from our division wants to sit together, I made a centerpiece. Look for the silver anchored container with white fresh flowers, glittered 279 is sticking out of the top. I would post a picture, but I have to wait until arriving in Chicago to add the flowers.

Oh thats sounds awesome can't wait. I just need to see if anyone made one for 280 made head over to FB but I think it would be good to sit together since they trained together :)

I agree! I think there was another person on FB that made a centerpiece for 279, but not sure about 280. It's funny, family members of PIR 8/21/15 just joined the FB group the past couple days, clueless and have no idea what's what. I can't imagine scrambling and not knowing anything for the past 7 weeks.

Hi,
I would love to sit with you all. my son is in 280. I didn't make anything. Sorry. I think we will have 2 or 3 people at meet and greet. MY SR dad won't arrive till later that evening and will miss it. -
