Kim, Keep those customs forms! I would either go back to the PO or if the boxes are returned, go back and demand THEY resend. (BTW, the postmaster and I are on a first name basis here! LOL! I would have called her but she is on vacation.)

I mailed one box yesterday using the custom form and nothing was said to me.

Thank you Dee. The woman at Kim's post office was WRONG! If her boxes are returned I hope she marches back in there and makes them resend (with Kim's customs forms) at their expense!

Just makes me so ticked off when these USPS people don't know how to do their jobs! OK rant over! hahaha!

Thanks again! Pat

Box #2 went out today.

The clerk did say that we can use the smaller Customs Declaration CN 22 form instead of the bigger Customs Declaration CP 72  one.  But I have a stash of the bigger ones and will use them up first.

He also mentioned that the system was saying custom form not needed - but that was the 1st he heard of it.  Said he would check it out.

I understand the frustration Pat - "sometimes" we know more that those working at the PO!

Dee, About a year ago. we went through this "big versus little" customs controversy. A few moms (on advice from their PO) used the small forms and their boxes were returned. Turns out the small form can ONLY be used for a few addresses. So I say, to be safe:

USE CUSTOMS FORM #2976-A!!!!!!

Sorry I forgot......with my rant and all..............Thanks Dee!!!

So I sent 4 boxes total; one was sent on the 17th, sorry, long story.  The other 3 were sent later.  In the first box I sent vacuum sealed brownies and oatmeal packets and in the others I sent snacks and toiletries.  Well I got an email about the first box and it brought tears to my eyes.  I am amazed that such a simple gesture such as brownies and oatmeal can make so many people happy.  I am truly honored to be able to send packages to our Military.  Makes me so happy too!!

mrsb, I have always said that we get back more than we give. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you have made a difference! Thank you and HOOYAH!

mrsb, do you mind sharing your message? We just leave the troopers full name out of it when we do share.  Aren't the warm fuzzies just great?

No problem!   Here it is!

Hey Sandy,
I first want to say thank you so much for the package. I of course shared with some of my shipmates. The brownies were a solid kill! They went so fast!! Everyone loved them. When I came into my work shop I was like guys I have some homemade brownies!! They all jumped on me!! Haha Oatmeal is always awesome too because the food on the ship isn't always so appealing lol. I can't stress enough how awesome everything was! :)

Thank you so much!!,

I will definitely be sending more brownies in future shipments!!

Don't ya just love it??!!
