I'm in the northern metro. My son did what your son is doing 5 years ago this month. I remember well the day he left and we said good-bye at MEPS. We are here to support you!!

My MN Navy son just flew out to boot camp today. He is right now sitting at the Chicago airport waiting for the bus. :(. I am very nervous. What part of Minnesota are you all from? I am from Eagan.

No, I don't think so...just quiet because not much is happening.  I've been gone so much this summer.  :)

Welcome Kassie, My sailor and his wife are also in the Norfolk area.  He is with the USS Eisenhower.  We just returned from a visit there last week.  Any questions just ask.

Kassie, Welcome to the group!  No question is too small.  Just ask away and someone will have the answer for you.

Norfolk is a great starting place.  Nice place for the family to visit and the weather isn't all bad either.

Let us know if there is anything that we can help you with.

Hi Navy Moms of MN!  I was at the airport with my sailor son and bumped into another MN Mom!  She told me about this group and I was excited to hear about it!  I would love to get together/discuss some Qs I have.  My son is beginning his first assignment in Norfolk, VA!  He left yesterday and I am already missing him!  A great BIG thank you to the MN Navy Mom who talked to me yesterday!  What an encouragement!  Prayers all around!  :)    Qs to come!
