Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 303 and 304

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

we got a letter today to seemed upbeat and happy as well ... now we begin the count down!!! so excited to find out she is pfc carrying the flag!!!

Received a letter yesterday, and our daughter got one today for her birthday. :) So happy that my SR remembered her. His letter was good, he's doing well!

My son is in 304. Happy to be connected to you all.

My son, Zac is in 303.  We got our first letter from him last Wednesday - in it he says they are only permitted to write on Sundays, and if they have watch, they cannot write until the next Sunday.  We got our call on Saturday 8/1 for about 3 minutes - he said someone else in the division used up all of their division's phone time, so they would not all get to call. :(  I am so sorry for those who haven't heard from their recruit, but as they say, "no news is good news." If something were wrong, they would have you on the phone in a heartbeat.

I am so happy..got a 15m phone called with my SR the other day! So good to hear my boys voice :)

Has anyone seen pictures of our SR's yet?  I can't find where they  are looking?  Is it face book?

They posted new pictures the other day on FB but none of 304 :/ the page is "The US Navy Recruit Training Command" I hope that helps you

thank you.  I don't get to get on here everyday & I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate through all the information.

They started Marlinspike this week (Basic Seamanship), which, according to my kiddo's letter is their first real hands-on training. He seems very excited.

He said they are allowed to write letters on Sundays and they take about four days to get to our home.  I still don't know how long it is taking for our mail to reach him, though. I would like to know so that I know when to STOP sending letters there before PIR and leaving for A-School.

Thursdays is now my favorite day of the week.  I rush home to see if we got a letter from her & Yes we did.  She is getting to know some of the girls near her better.  One girl helped her after she got her wisdom teeth pulled and then my daughter looked out for her when she got sick this week. I cant not believe we are half way through this part of the journey.

I am getting excited for PIR in 24 days....Can't wait to see my son. I am so proud of him. He is doing well and ready to move on and begin his Navy career.

Are any families in 303 going to Sarges meet & greet?
