Anna, I would love for you to add Marissa to your prayer list.  We do not know a lot of information about timing for deployment right now. Some changes are going on and she may not have to go to tech training after A school and just have training at duty station.  We do not know.  We are just enjoying week 2 out of boot camp.  You know all the texts and phone calls.  Details about her specifics are being changed right now but she is just happy to be there and will accept what is assigned.  She has an unbelievable attitude right now.  The Navy is the perfect place for her.  She says she has found her people. So happy sailor = happy mommy.

Blondie,

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement - they are great ideas!  I agree with you wholeheartedly!

vickyrun,

Sorry you're feeling down.  Hope things get back to a positive for you soon!!!

bbcregular,

Happy to see you here!!! I have a spook son so I perfectly understand the not knowing.  He usually tells me things after he gets back home and then usually only when we are visiting face to face!!!  Unfortunately, that is not too often!!!  Will your girl deploy right after A school? I'll be sure to add her to my prayer list!!!

Oleander,

sigh***  those sweet visits seem to go so quickly!!!  Enjoy every remaining minute!!!

Leach,

Just know that is always ok to allow ourselves to cry and feel sad when our emotions just get the best of us.  I still miss my kids!!!  Wish I could visit with them more often . . . .

spyder,

How's life with you in your neck of the woods???

This is my first time to comment on Moms of Daughter.  The comment from Blondie I received in my email and saved it to reread when my daughter gets deployed.  I am currently comfortable.  She is in her 2nd week of A school and classes have not even started.  She has a spook rating so I know that when she is deployed I will know mostly nothing.  I don't want to waste today by worrying about tomorrow but did save Blondie's words for the day that will come. Thank you everyone for sharing your hearts. I know that my thoughts and feelings are shared because of your posts.  Praying for all.

Good morning. Yes Oleander and everyone, keep rereading Blondie words....we all do. You will be fine...and feel free to come here often to share your thoughts. Prayers for all of our sailors wherever they are.

Good morning everyone.

Thank you Blondie, I know I'll be reading these words over and over in the next few months. My sailor reports tomorrow, her days home have been full and rewarding but way too few, especially knowing what's coming. I have that knot in my stomach like I did before she left for boot camp. I appreciate you all so much. Thanks for being here.

blondie - double Amen to that!

missing my Sailor girl soooo much! she is underway and only the good Lord knows where in the world she is.

I do have my moments when I break down and allow myself to cry and vent (when no one is looking).

I guess it is just a mother's heart...

although I do catch my hubby sighing once in a while and he will just say he misses her so much too.

I love the idea of reading the same book...

you are right, we need to be strong for our girls.

God bless them all :)
