Yes they should get to make that call right after they pass. So I had been waiting for the phone to ring each morning. Turns out they don't always run early. They have breakfast and then run anytime between 10 and 2. So I got the call around 2:30.

Thanks, Sammy1990. I sure hope so! How long after passing do they usually get to call to tell us? Same day?

Great news, Katheryn! Congratulations! The fact that she, as well as other recruits, passed with three attempts remaining is very encouraging. Every time we talk to our daughter, she says how "the next run is the run that I will pass...and if not, then the one after that!!!" But that hasn't happened yet, so it's been tough. She's seems so positive, though, so I hope it happens soon!

We just got back from seeing our daughter in IL. She passed and will be moving on to her A school on Thursday. We were lucky enough to get to spend time with 3 other Sailors that had been in the Fit Div. All of them passed within their last 3 attempts available. I took them a while and most of them had been in Fit for around 3-4 weeks. It just takes a little time to build up the speed. You I am thinking of all your recruits and they will finish, just might take a few more attempts.

Hi Alex's Mom. I would assume they aren't taking pics of Fit Div because they didn't graduate Boot Camp on time. At this point, it's just working on getting them to pass. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't gotten any more letters yet. You had mentioned how he's not big on writing. But you spoke to him on the phone this past weekend, right? It's normal for them to feel down and beat themselves up a bit. They apparantley have some good support there. We've heard from our daughter via letters and a call this past weekend. She's beating herself up but at the same time, seems to be keeping a positive outlook on things. She has significantly shaved down her run time, and that's great...but that's not good enough...still has to pass. She feels very confident that she will pass...and we are praying and hoping that she does. She even has a positive attitude about what they go through..."They're just doing their job. It's all about reaching that goal." We made it very clear to her that it wouldn't be a cakewalk and that they would be really tough on them...because there is a transformation that needs to take place that helps to kind of strip them down and rebuild them into Sailors. Hang in there. I know it can be difficult, but if you haven't heard anything, I'm sure he's fine. He probably just focused on getting it done.
