if they don't pass on 10 tries they are separated with a code that allows them to return in 6 months. they are advised to get the pfa under control and reenlist. they will do boot over from day one, and most don't ever go back. two passed last week on try 10....don't give up! send daily letters of encouragement. we've been told that is a huge motivation factor!

what happens if our SR's do not pass in the ten attempts?

Comment by Prayers_4_Nessa on September 14, 2015 at 9:21am
Hello CM ... the SR's will have PFA's Mon, Wed, Fridays each week. They will be given 10 attempts to pass and are worked with regularly by the RDC's and PO's within the FIT Division to help them pass. The length of time they are in FIT is basically up to the SR's ability to get out of there as soon as possible. They are generally given phone privileges one time every two weeks and on the weekend. If you receive a call then it is likely that your SR has passed and is moving on t Battlestations. Hang in there mom and say your prayers. It will all work out!

How long can our SR's be in the fit program?

Thanks so much for your insight and comfort.  Still waiting unfortunately.

My call came late in the afternoon on a Wednesday. I was lucky enough this weekend to get to go visit with my duagher in San Antonio. We had a down day Sunday so I sat around on base with several of the Sailors. A large group of these Sailors had been in fit and the majority was for the run. Most of them too between 8 and 10 times before they passed. And keep in mind if the run was stopped for any reason it does not count as an attempt. So hard but don't think of it as a for sure run Mon-Tue-Wed counting a an attempt. She might have ran 3 times last week but it does not mean they all counted! Just sitting and waiting was the worst! Just praying you get that call soon, but you will!!

Would a mom who had a SR pass a PFA while in FIT please let me know about what time they called to tell you they passed?  I do understand that the call could come in anytime day or night and even the next day, but I was hoping for a best case scenario.  Lord be with my Lil Girl this morning to pass her PFA!

PFA test today .... we pray and wait once more.

No calls last night after yesterdays PFA ... this is getting harder to deal with as each testing day goes bye.  Another PFA tomorrow and wait some more.

Sorry wrong Nessa!
