N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

The 900 division will go early next week (BattleStations).  Captains Cup in the morning for this PIR group.  Lots of athletic fun between the divisions!

The Livestream for each PIR usually remains available until the next PIR.

Any "I'm a Sailor" calls from 292 today?

Comment by flacosmom on August 28, 2015 at 9:59pm
Becky. Thank u again. I was so happy. I just finished the video from today. I know they broadcast it again because that's how I saw it last week as well.
Fyi for any family member that had the same struggle not being able to see it live. But better late than never. I saw my SR marching with the band. I could not be any more proud. As I cried watching it..I'm just hoping I get most of it out of my system for next week. I don't want to ruin makeup, or better yet my SR nicely white uniform. Lol. I bring my tissues for sure. Hopefully I will get a call Tuesday.
Thanks again Becky. This site has helped me so much. And great support from total stangers that share the same common bond. A loved one in the Navy. I'm so proud that my son will be serving my country. And none other than from my favorite state..

You're welcome Flacosmom! I'm praying to get the I'm a sailor call in Tuesday! The ceremony today was a live stream, I'm not sure you will be able to find it again.

Thank you Becky.
I saw some pics of my son on Facebook.
I just keep checking the broadcast of the ceremony today and I still can't see it. I know others have.
So then maybe Monday or Tuesday I will hear I'm a Sailor call. Hoping at least. Thanks again Becky
