Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 315 AND 316

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

got kristin letter today , she wrote 4 diff letters and mailed them all at once, the first letter she was mad , hated it and anf a few choice words , by the fourth letter she did not complain to mcuh and no bad launguage ... my husband is army national gurad and was in air force right  out of high school and says every body hates boot camp.... be stong ...he will be a stornger when he is done

I know what he is feeling. I hated BC, wanted to come home so bad at first. Then I made some friends and things turned around. Has he made any friends there, it is hard because not everyone is like..Hi..I am ...., sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone and start a conversation. You can hate it one day and then everything falls into place, if it doesn't and he really wants out, then now is the time. Only he can make that decision. Be strong Mom for him. The good thing is even though we worry here, they (Navy) will take care of him and make sure he is alright. It's good that he talked to the Chaplin..actually he became a good friend when I was in BC, was there all the time!  It is so hard being a parent!! Hang in there..

I know how he feels, who didn't have a moment or two that they hated bootcamp.  There are days that you will hate it, doing something you hate or that just isn't easy to you as for some.  But, one thing write him and let him know this is not how the rest of his career will be like.  This is just to get them all in military shape.  Tell him be strong and its almost over.  At the end he will look back and think ohhh it wasn't that bad, just in the moment it is.  I know your hearbroken for him, as mama's we want to protect them and make them feel better.  The Chaplin is great to talk to. Get things off his chest that you just can't tell your bunk mate they might not understand.  Praying for you and him.

I just got off the phone with my SR daughter. She sounds really good. Passed her PFA and swim test no problem. She did say a lot of kids have colds so she has had to pull extra watches. She is excited to get her camouflaged hat and be able to wear that because it is another step closer to PIR. She will meet with her detailer this week to hopefully select the language she will learn at DLI. Most of the girls in the divisions are awesome, she sounded like she was having a great time. Wow, she is a stud!

My daughter called agian today , she said she is feeling better , she was able to sleep most of the day that she went to sick call .. she worried about the PFA ... she never been a runner , she said they are making her run extra to help , she missed the first PFA due to sick call... she passed the computer test firday was very happy about that ... she seem in better spirts today.. told her to eat and sleep and she will be strong for the PFA , said her callor bone is showing due to the weight she has lost ...i told her easy to run with less weight ... lol

Received  the second letter from our son today.  He is really enjoying his experience so far.  He informed us that due to his ship staff position, he can now wear a watch.  I am so very proud of him.  Can't wait to see him at PIR.  Counting the days.

Do you know if there is a Facebook page for our PIR group?

Hi there. No, I haven't been able to locate one.  It sure would make communicating and getting to know one another a bit easier.  I guess I could make a closed group, but I need to check with NMAdmin before doing so to make sure I am not violating anything.

Hi have you found the FB page?  I just seen your post a few days late.  If not there are 3 pages in the search box type PIR 09-18-15 NAVY BOOT CAMP  type it all in caps for some reason when I was not using caps I couldn't find it.  Its a closed group you just have to submit a request and they will PM you with some questions and than your in.

Hoping for a call today.  I miss my SR very much.  I know he is doing great and this is his dream.  I am so very proud of him, but I still miss his smile.  4 more weeks. :)

I am staying at the Holiday Express, it is close and the reviews were good. What to do, I think it really depends on what our SR wants to do, I want to soak up as much "mom" time as I can because before you know it you will have to say goodbye again.

Hi momRN.  I have also booed the HI Express.  How are you traveling and will you be staying near the airport the night of graduation so you can be there first thing on Saturday?
