N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Thank you, Kathy. To make matters worse my husband was out on the lake fishing and missed his call too:( I'm going to write him every day and vow to keep my phone by my side 24/7.

Don't feel bad I didn't hear my phone ring either so I called the person I figured she would talk to next ( her uncle) and she was on the phone with him so she hung up and called me back. When I got off the phone with her I called him back he said she new I would freak out so she told him " tell her I'm not mad and I will talk with her the next time". Thankfully she was able to call me back though. I said all of that to say our kids know how much we live them and support them. Don't be so hard on yourself, one missed call is not going to undo all the things you have done. Now you have a recording you can play over and over and listen to it until the next time.

I am sick and heartbroken right now! A few min ago I was in the kitchen making a smoothie and didn't hear my phone ring. I had a missed call from Waukegon. He left me a message and said he was doing good but I still feel like the world's worst Mom:(:(:(:(:(

I talked to my daughter, 338.  She sounds really good and she is making friends.

I am very happy to say I got my second phone call today. She sounds so tired but she says she's in a lot of pain because they pulled her widsom tooth on Friday. She is on pain killers and bed rest but other than that everything is going well.

Good news for you guys.

Talked my daughter today she is in 948! She sounded really upbeat, she says she is making friends, so I'm relieved.

I got a call. It was so good to hear his voice. He was pretty emotional but is doing good
